The Princes Trust is one of the more well know charities in the UK, yet few people are aware of just how much help and support they provide and how it has an influence on all our lives.
Through practical support, training, mentoring and financial assistance The Princes Trust helps 14-30 year-olds overcome whatever barriers they may have in their lives, realise their true potential and transform their lives.
Since the charity was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1976 it has helped over half a million young people from all walks of life, although efforts are focused on those who have struggled at school, been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.
Estimates are that there are more than one million young people currently not in education, employment or training.

Marathon Month was devised by Unity Chairman, Jeremy Harbour who is a mentor for the Princes Trust and a member of their Fund Raising committee.
Unity are the primary organisers of Marathon Month and hope that it will become an annual activity to raise money for The Princes Trust.
Founded and based in Hertfordshire, Unity provides local businesses with a complete communications management service. This includes not just the traditional voice based methods such as mobiles, landlines and phone systems but also VoIP, Broadband and IT Support to cater for the electronic means of communication.
